Its elevated setting allows guests to fully appreciate the dramatic coastal landscape, with the sea stretching out before the villa and the characteristic beauty of Praiano unfolding around it.

Praiano is one of the most enchanting villages on the Amalfi Coast, celebrated for its whitewashed houses, colourful majolica details and sea views. The village retains a peaceful, authentic atmosphere while offering a selection of restaurants, cafés, local shops and small beaches to discover. Among its highlights is the beautiful Church of San Gennaro, with its distinctive majolica dome and panoramic piazza, while Marina di Praia provides a charming seaside setting nestled between towering cliffs.

Just 7 km away, Positano is a must-see, with its pastel-coloured houses cascading dramatically towards the sea, elegant boutiques, lively restaurants and the beautiful Spiaggia Grande. Amalfi, approximately 9 km from the villa, offers a fascinating blend of history, culture and coastal beauty, centred around its magnificent Cathedral of Sant’Andrea and lively Piazza Duomo. Between Praiano, Positano and Amalfi, the winding coastal road provides breathtaking views at every turn.

The villa is also perfectly placed for discovering some of the Amalfi Coast’s most celebrated attractions and destinations. The spectacular Path of the Gods begins in nearby Bomerano, offering one of the region’s most memorable hiking experiences. Ravello enchants visitors with its elegant historic villas, lush gardens and extraordinary viewpoints, while Sorrento is ideal for an excursion among charming streets, lively squares and panoramic terraces overlooking the Bay of Naples.

The Property
Set in a privileged position in the beautiful village of Praiano, along the Amalfi Coast, Property 48 combines timeless Mediterranean charm with an exceptional setting overlooking the coast and the shimmering open sea. Its striking white-stucco architecture, multi-level layout, whitewashed walls, arched columned patios and colourful ceramic tiles reflect the distinctive beauty of the Amalfi Coast, sleeping up to 12 guests across 6 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

With expansive terraces, the outdoor spaces are among the villa’s most captivating features. Guests can dine al fresco while taking in the breathtaking views, or gather around the wood-burning pizza oven and barbecue. The garden is complemented by a small lemon orchard, whose fragrant citrus trees fill the air with an invigorating scent. Twenty steps below the ground floor lies the seawater pool (17 x 5.9 m; heated on request, extra). The pool area also features a bathroom, outdoor shower, and changing hut.

The interiors are bright, elegant and full of character, with traditional architectural details complemented by refined furnishings. On the ground floor, a luminous sitting room furnished with white sofas and armchairs centres around a decorative fireplace and opens onto a reading room and a separate dining room. The entire floor is distinguished by high-domed ceilings, ceramic floors and whitewashed walls, while antiques, rich works of art, and an upright piano lend the rooms an unmistakably sophisticated atmosphere.

Each room enjoys direct access to the arched furnished panoramic patio, creating a seamless connection between the elegant interiors and the spectacular outdoor setting. The fully equipped kitchen is equally well suited to leisurely family meals or more elaborate occasions. A practical office corner is also available, while modern comforts include air conditioning, heating, satellite TV, DVD and CD players, Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and washing machine.

The six bedrooms are located on the lower floor and comprise six double bedrooms: four queen bedrooms and two king/twin bedrooms. All six are provided with en-suite bathrooms, some featuring double sinks, as well as spacious showers. Several bedrooms enjoy direct access to the furnished garden or a terrace, allowing guests to wake up to the fresh Mediterranean air and the peaceful surroundings. Please note that the first floor of the villa is not available to guests.

The villa’s layout follows the natural slope of the hillside, creating different levels that gradually unfold towards the sea. The entrance gate is located 65 steps down from the main road; a further 25 steps lead to the main floor, another 20 steps descend to the lower floor where the bedrooms are situated, and a final 20 steps lead to the swimming pool level. This distinctive configuration contributes to the villa’s secluded, atmospheric character while offering vantage points from which to admire the surroundings.
